World Education Fair – March 2020

The World Education Fair was hosted by Campus Direct UK (Pvt) Ltd for the 8th consecutive year.

It was held at the Hilton residencies Colombo (Union Place) on the 1st of March 2020. CDUK, as they are also known by students and university have been giving potential students and parents the opportunities to speak with representatives to find out what country or university would suit them for their higher studies abroad.

One of the highlights of the Fair throughout the last 7 years was the on-the-spot offers. Exceptional students that the representatives met were given offers to study at their respective university with a scholarship.

Following up on last year, the Fair had two additional events that was going on parallel to while the information session was happening: Seminars on what to expect on your arrival to UK and Germany. The seminar for UK was conducted by Mr. Raj Sampath – the representative of the University of Bolton, UK.

The seminar for Germany was conducted by Mrs. Renu Agarwal – representing International School of Management Germany. In addition to the seminars, WEF 2020 hosted a FREE  IELTS Mock Exam for students to gain 1st hand experience on what it was like to sit for the English Language Requirement Exam that is recognized around the world and is a staple in the application and visa process. After the mock exam, there was a discussion period for the students to further prepare them for the upcoming intakes.

Countries that were represented at the World Education Fair included Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, Germany, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore and Grenada with ranked universities that were available for our students. From the UK: Derby University, Middlesex University, University of Dundee, Solent University, University of Worcester, University of East London, University of Greenwich, Teesside University, University of the West of England, Bath Spa University, University of Bedfordshire, University of Chester, University of Portsmouth, Birmingham City University, Cranfield University, University of West London, Cardiff University, University of Salford, Queens University Belfast, St. York John University, Oxford Brookes University, University of Bolton, ULAW, Nottingham Trent University, University of Leicester, Coventry University, University of Surrey, The University of Sheffield, Kingston University London, Durham University, Liverpool John Moores University

The event was graced by the sponsors, namely Pulse, Kiss FM, The Sunday TimesEducation Times, Veerakesari and Metro Newspapers that were instrumental in promoting the World Education fair to students and parents.

All in all, the World Education Fair 2020 hosted by Campus Direct UK was a massive success with students getting details on studying and living abroad.

Unlike most agencies, Campus Direct doesn’t charge their students for their services.

The services include information, aid in the application and documentation process and help with the visa process thus guaranteeing that their students get the best possible options when looking for study options abroad.
