Wesley ‘A’ emerge Under-12 Mini Rugby group champs

The Wesley College ‘A’ team emerged victorious in the Inter-School Dialog Under-12 Mini Rugby Carnival 2020, with an unbeaten record to top Group ‘A’, at the Royal College Sports Complex. Wesley ‘A’ played three matches and won all of them to finish off a successful campaign.
Wesley ‘A’ was drawn with Royal College, Nalanda College and D.S. Senanayake College in Group ‘A’ and won all three games with ease. They beat Royal 10-5, D.S. Senanayake 20-5 and accelerated further with their form to record a convincing 30-5 win against Nalanda, to top the group.
The team was led by Shifan Inthiqab and consisted of Ehran Ali, Ihsan Faleel, Nemith Jayanetti, Dinaru Dhamyth, Jonathan Wijesinghe, Rashid Asif, Ronnav Rukshith, Ayaan Hussain, Akesh Rayan, Senuth Dilandha, Liam Onasiz, Mahir Packeerali, Hivin Udammika, Zaheen Zahir, Shaheel Fahir, Manuga Jayaweera, Ahyan Johar, Yoshitha Shalom, Sharfan Wadood, Nikith Laxman, Kevan Akhil, Vidu Perera and Mohammed Sherriff, inclusive of the ‘B’ side.
Ziyard Thahir and Anuradha Gunasekara coached the Wesley Under-12 ‘A’ and ‘B’ sides.
