Commemoration of 76th Birth anniversary and 5th Death Anniversary of Emeritus Professor J. N. O. Fernando
View(s):The Commemoration Ceremony of the 76th Birth Anniversary and 5th Death Anniversary of the Late Prof. J. N. O. Fernando will be held on the 3rd of March 2020 at P.P.G.L Siriwardene Auditorium, Admantane House.
The Alms Giving Ceremony to the Sri Wijayaramaya Temple, Dharmapala Place, Rajagiriya will be held in the morning.
In the evening at 3 pm there will be religious ceremonies of Hindu, Islamic and Christian prior to the commemoration Ceremony. Welcome speech of the ceremony will be delivered by Prof. Priyani Paranagama, President of Institute of Chemistry Ceylon and Orator’s citation will be read by Mr. P. S M Kumarathunga President of CCS Alumni Association.
The commemoration oration, which will be on the topic ‘Past, Present and Future challenges to Chemistry Education at the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon” will be delivered by Prof. M. Dayal P de Costa, Senior Professor in Chemistry, University of Colombo. At the end of the ceremony, Professor. J.N.O Fernando’s statue will be garlanded.
