The postponed concert ‘Gedara Yang’ by Gypsies will come alive again on 9th February at the Maria Convent Auditorium in Negombo starting at 6.30pm.

‘Gedara Yang’, the very first concert of the Anniversary series of Gypsies was scheduled to hold at the same venue on January 26. But suddenly, the leader Sunil Perera was taken ill after a concert in Matara on 14th, made the organisers to reschedule the show.

‘ Sunil is much better after his routine checking and treatments and now fit to perform as usual. The Gypsies will be in action at the ‘Gedara Yang’ Concert in Negombo on 9th, Sunday and to tour all over country to celebrate our fiftieth anniversary’ said brother Piyal Perera.

Popular band Gypsies with Sunil Perera are back on the Concert stage after 15 year with their brand new theme ‘Gedara Yang’.

Gypsies took a fifteen long years break after their highly popular ‘I don’t Know Why’ concert series started in 2005.

After 15 long years off the concert saga, Gypsies are back with a series of brand new show ‘Gedara Yang’ to celebrate their fiftieth Golden Anniversary, which falls in 2020.

‘This will  be our very first concert after one  and a half decades and will hope to perform all over the country to celebrate our fiftieth anniversary in the showbiz’ leader Sunil said. 

The tickets for the opening Concert in Negombo are priced at Rs 7500/-, 5000/-, 4000/-, and Rs 3000/-.
