Meththa House wins Ananda Balika OGA annual netball tourney

The victorious Meththa House team with the trophy and medals
The Old Girls’ Association of Ananda Balika Vidyalaya, Maligakanda, Colombo organised its Netball Tournament among the past pupils for the fifth consecutive year at the school premises recently. Players from four houses – Meththa, Karuna, Muditha and Upekkha, participated at the event.
In the final Meththa beat Muditha house to became the champions for the fifth consecutive year.
The captain of the champion House Jayathri Upendra received the award from Chief Guest, Sports Info Chairman and Managing Director, Thilan Rangana.
The captain of the runners-up House Ruchira Yapa Abeywardena received an award from former teacher Dula de Silva.
The best player of the tournament was from the champion Muditha House — Chamila Senevirathne and the Best Shooter was the Meththa House captain, Jayathri Upendra. They received the awards from Project Organiser, Anuja de Silva and OGA member Shiromi Dilrukshi.
The OGA Vice President Ranoja de Silva, Manjula de Silva and Secretary Ramya Priyanganie were also present at the awards ceremony.
