No Sri Lanka records or meet records were broken after 22 athletic events at the 45th National Sports Festival which continued at the Vincent Dias Stadium in Badulla yesterday.

The Ministry of Sports offered cash awards of Rs. 100,000 and Rs. 50,000 for Sri Lanka and Games records respectively but new records were not set by athletes because of the ground conditions caused by incessant rain.

Furthermore, most National level athletes skipped this prestigious event because of the upcoming South Asian Games for fear of injury on the grass track.
