EWC creative writing competition winners
View(s):The English Writers Collective (EWC) of Sri Lanka has announced the winners of the creative writing (short story and poetry) competition 2019. The first prize for poetry was won by Rifadha Cader for “Poetry!”; the second prize goes to Sunila Nanayakkara for “Breadwinners All “ and joint third prize winners are Keerthimathi Wijekulasuriya for “Kottu a la Cricket” and G.A.D. Sirimal “Lamp Post Speaks”.
The winner of the Short Story competition was Sriyani Hulugalle for “Seen through the Screen”.
These and selected other entries will be published in the EWC journal CHANNELS 2019. Prizes and certificates will be presented to the winners at an EWC literary event scheduled for later this year.
