Tribute concert for Avicii

A tribute concert for Avicii is to be held on  December 5 in Stockholm, Sweden. Tickets for the event which went on sale on September 5 were sold out in 30 minutes. Among artists who are performing at the charity show are Adam Lambert, David Guetta, Kygo, Rita Ora, Aloe Blacc and Laidback Luke. The concert is being called the Avicii Tribute Concert for Mental Health and organised by the Tim Bergling Foundation. Avicii died in April 2018.

Whitney  hologram tour to launch in London next year

As Whitney Houston’s rendition of ‘Higher Love’ vibrates on radio airwaves and dance clubs around the world, her hologram tour will launch in London in 2020. Base Entertainment and Primary Wave Music Publishing have teamed up with the late singer’s estate for the tour which is expected to feature her touring band and backup singers.

Craig David is launching a tour ‘Hold That Thought’ on April 13, 2020 in London to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of his album ‘Born To Do It’. The Canadian superstar will begin in Cardiff and end at London’s O2 Arena on April 25. ‘Born To Do It’ was Drake’s ground breaking album. Meanwhile reports have surfaced that Drake is likely to release a new album before the end of 2019.

UK rap artist Aitch rises to number No. 03 on the charts

The UK rap artist Aitch popularity is on the rise. Since his debut hit ‘Taste (Make It Shake)’ was released he has been attracting a lot of media attention for his work. As ‘Taste (Make It Shake)’ has risen to No: 3 this week, the 19 year old artist is also on the No: 1 UK hit song ‘Take Me Back To London’ by Ed Sheeran featuring Stormzy. His artistic skills figure out on the remix by Sir Spyros with fellow rapper Jaykae. Hence Ed Sheeran and Stormzy enjoy a second week at the top of the UK singles chart with ‘Take Me Back To London’. Aitch is featured on the top 10 hit ‘Strike A Pose’ by the Nottingham rap duo Young T & Bugsey.

Debbie Harry to release a memoir

Debbie Harry the lead singer of the new wave punk rock band Blondie is to release her autobiography Face It: A Memoir on 1st October. Reports indicate the singer is planning to write an uncensored sequel too. Harry stormed on the music scene in 1979 with the hit song ‘Heart Of Glass’. Her photograph donned the cover of many magazines and was the centre of much pop gossip. The 74 year old was in London on 3rd September to receive the Outstanding Contribution to Music gong at the Independent Music Awards.

Giles Martin launches remix of “Oh Darling” in keeping with 50th anniversary of ‘Abbey Road’

To mark the 50th anniversary of the release of the Beatles ‘Abbey Road’ album, Giles Martin has made a 2019 remix version of the song ‘Oh! Darling’. The super deluxe version of the ‘Abbey Road’ album will be out on September 27, containing the 17 original tracks, 23 outtakes and demos, all under the watchful eye of Giles Martin who is the son of the late Sir George Martin who produced the Beatles songs.
