Rising interest has been seen in agriculture, power and energy, infrastructure development, export manufacturing/services, knowledge services and tourism/leisure, by foreign delegates attending the “Sri Lanka Investment and Business Conclave 2019” organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce on September 16 at the Shangri-La hotel in Colombo.

Foreign companies have also show interest in investing in these sectors in Sri Lanka, the chamber said in a media release.

Organised for the fourth consecutive year, Conclave 2019 will provide a platform in connecting the local businesses with global players, opening up a host of opportunities for the growth and expansion of trade. The B2B meetings will enable businesses to identify global best practices, share technological knowledge and business acumen, earn much needed investments and create synergies.

The event is organised by chamber in association with the Ministry of Development Strategies and International Trade; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Trade and Commerce; the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka; Department of Commerce; Sri Lanka Export Development Board, and the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau.
