Foundation of Goodness and Institute of Business and Technology cruised through to the final of the Red Bull Campus Cricket T20 cricket tournament by recording convincing wins in their semi-final encounters played at the Colts ground yesterday.

FOG spearheaded by a match winning opening stand of 85 runs between Chathura Milan (59  off 30 balls with five boundaries and four sixes) and Lahiru Hiranya outclassed Esoft Metro Campus by ten wickets in the second semi final played in the evening session. FOG after restricting their opponents to a score of 84 needed only 8.2 overs to reach the target.

Earlier in the day, ICBT helped by two unbeaten knocks from Priyamal Perera and Salinda Ushan helped them to an eight wicket win over Kotalawla Defence University. Their knocks helped ICBT chasing a modest target of 140 runs to race to the target in the 16th over.

The winner of the Red Bull Campus Cricket T20 tournament will be eligible to participate in the forthcoming Red Bull Campus Cricket T20 World tournament scheduled to be held in Dubai this year.
