‘Manaya’ now in cinemas

Anju Dananjaya’s debut film direction ‘Manaya’, featuring traditional martial art Angampora, is now being screened in Regal Colombo and other theatres around the country.

The film stars Upeksha Swarnamali, Wasantha Kumarawila, Pavithra Wickremesinghe, Dilip Manohara, Hemantha Iriyagama and Sumudu Amalka in the main cast.

Featuring lesser highlighted traditional martial art form, ‘angampora’, the ‘Manaya’ story revolves around a young girl from an upper class family and her selfish and self-oriented brother. The film follows a plot by a group of underworld members to abduct the young girl and many dramatic events which follows this.

Camera handled by Prasad Devinda Guruge, editor Anura Bandara, make up Kiran G. Soysa, art director Kasun Mahawaduge.

Colour mixing by Ananda Bandara and the film is produced by Roshan Indika Ralapanawa.
