State Lands Bill: President suggests changes
View(s):Changes recommended by President Maithripala Sirisena to the State Lands (Special Provisions) Amendment Bill have been forwarded to the Attorney General’s Department for advice, a Prime Minister’s Office source said.
Once Cabinet approval is received, the recommendations would be included in the Bill by the Ministry of Lands, the source said.
President Sirisena had earlier claimed that his recommendations were ignored when the Amendment Bill was gazetted.
