RCSS ranked high in 2018 Global Go To Think Tank Index

The Regional Centre for Strategic Studies (RCSS) has been ranked among the top ten in South Asia in many categories and No. 01 in Sri Lanka in the ‘2018 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report’ prepared by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Programme of the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
The 2018 worldwide ranking of think tanks was released on January 31.

The Global Go To Think Tank Index has been released for thirteen years to acknowledge contributions and emerging global trends of think tanks worldwide. It is considered one of the most renowned survey programmes based on an extensive research.The 2018 Report covered 8,162 institutes worldwide. Brookings Institution of the United States ranked the top
most think tank in the world. RCSS was ranked first in Sri Lanka in many categories and among the top ten in South Asia.

In the category of ‘Best Regional Studies Centre’, RCSS is ranked 1st in Sri Lanka and also in South Asia, and 35th worldwide. The RCSS is ranked impressively in the following categories also: ‘Top Foreign Policy and International Affairs Think Tanks’ – 1st in Sri Lanka, 3rd in South Asia and 79th worldwide; ‘Top Defense and National Security’ – 1st in Sri Lanka, 6th in South Asia and 81st worldwide; ‘Best Think Tank Conference’ – 1st in Sri Lanka, 2nd in South Asia and 37th worldwide; ‘Best Think Tank Network’ – 1st in Sri Lanka, 2nd in South Asia and 52nd worldwide; ‘Best Use of Social Media and Networks’ – 1st in Sri Lanka, 3rd in South Asia and 45th worldwide; ‘Top Think Tanks in Southeast Asia and the Pacific’- 1st in Sri Lanka, 9th in South Asia and 33rd worldwide; ‘Top Think Tanks Worldwide (U.S and Non-U.S)’- 1st in Sri Lanka, 8th in South Asia and 133rd worldwide.
