Sri Lanka Embassy in Kuwait celebrated the 71st anniversary of independence at Hayat Regency Hotel in Kuwait City on February 7. Representing the Government of Kuwait, Fahad Ali Zaied Al Shoula, Minister of Islamic Affairs & Acting Minister of Public Works, graced the occasion as chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Kaandeepan Balasubramaniam thanked the Sri Lankan community for their contribution to the country’s welfare. He underlined the importance of intensifying high level visits by the leaders of the two countries to improve bilateral relations.
