EIPEL Campus 15th Anniversary Convocation
View(s):European Institute of Professional Education known as EIPEL campus was established in the year 2003 to provide access to tertiary & higher education to Sri Lankans in cooperation with international universities and higher education providers.Since then EIPEL Campus have given the opportunity to many Sri Lankans to achieve their academic & professional goals. EIPEL Campus alumni comprise ofmid career professionals to top management positions.

EIPEL Campus celebrated its 15th anniversary this year and in conjunction held its 15th anniversary convocation to officially award Certificate,Diploma,Bachelor,Master and Doctorate degrees recently at the BMICH, Colombo.
Mr.Vijitha Walgamage Director/CEO of EIPEL Campus in his welcome address mentioned that running a tertiary & higher education institute for successful 15 year is not an easy task but due to great courage,commitment,delicate finesse in management and collective effort of all stake holders enabled us ,particularly in a highly competitive market environment of today’s context to provide quality higher education at truly affordable fees.Further he said EIPEL campus cooperate with over six foreign universities and pioneered several new concepts in providing higher education in Sri Lanka.
Chief Guest to the event VidyaJyothi Emeritus Professor Dr.Dayantha S. Wijeyesekera, Chairman,Tertiary & Vocational Education Commission & Chancellor ,Vocational University of Technology Sri Lanka,in his keynote address admired the contributions made by EIPEL Campus in its journey of 15 years to the country.Further he mentioned EIPEL Campus vision“Support Career Progress & Improve Quality of Life” is evident seeing the passing out graduates today and said that he observed EIPEL campus is a registered institute of Tertiary & Vocational Education Commission of Sri Lanka and EIPEL qualifications are nationally recognized.

Prof.Dr.C.Chanthan Rectorof IIC University of Technology(IICUT),Cambodia said that Cambodia and Sri Lanka shared common values being two Buddhist countries and is happy to cooperate with EIPEL Campus. Further, He said that IICUT is willing to assist Sri lankan students who miss entry to government universities after GCE(A/L),to qualify with a bachelor degree from IICUT through EIPEL Campus.He elaborated IICUT is a full member of International Association of Universities and listed in the International HandBook of Universities ,published by UNESCO’s International Association of Universities and recognized by University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.
Prof.K.Hong President Sastra Angkor Institute, Dr.V.Gupta ,Sky Global USA was present as guests of honor and other distinguished members of the Academic Board Prof.A.Patabendige,Dr. W.G.Karunadasa, Dr.C.Gamage, Dr.Neil Thevarapperum, Damien Weerakkody, P. Andaraweera, A.Weeratunga & Ms.Surani Wettasinghe were present. Ranil Perera Visiting Lecturer of EIPEL campus delivered vote of thanks.
