Fancied cueists advance to second round

The Colombo District Snooker tournament conducted by the Billiards and Snooker Association of Sri Lanka and sponsored by U.W. Sumathipala Group of Companies is one of the four qualifying tournaments to select the players who would be eligible to play at the forthcoming 66th National Snooker Championship 2018 is in progress now at the AAC and The Cue Club billiards table in Colombo.

The Colombo District tournament which is being contested by over 155 cueists around the metropolis saw the fancied cueists wining their matches to advance to the second round.

Apart from the Colombo District tournament which is conducted by the Billiards and Snooker of Association three other district tournaments are being played concurrently in the Galle (25 cueists), Kandy (37) and Nuwara Eliya (32) districts.

The four district snooker tournaments are scheduled to be concluded on October 17 after which the All Island Lanka Plate Snooker Championship will be held from October 20th onwards.
