Lyceum Wattala wins International Schools Chess Tournament 2018
View(s):Lyceum International School Wattala became champions at the 11th Inter-International Schools Chess Tournament 2018, organised by Regent International School, Gampaha. The tournament was held on July 6 and 7 in Gampaha.
Lyceum Wattala obtained 52 points to claim the overall championship while Gateway College Colombo emerged runners-up with 34 points. Lyceum International School Nugegoda finished overall third with 29 points.
Lyceum Wattala also bagged the Under-8, Under-10 and Under-16 teams championships and board prizes, while the other age group teams performed well winning first and second runners-up positions and board prizes in their respective age categories.
