18 MCA Div. ‘F’ games washed out
The preliminary rounds of the 1st Fair First Insurance Trophy – MCA ‘F’ Division 25 Over League Cricket Tournament 2018 came to a close last weekend.
Commenced on May 13 with a programme of 84 matches was constantly marred by bad weather, resulting in 18 matches being completely washed out.
In the last set of matches that took place on June 22 and 23, Palliyaguruge Group hogged the lime light with back to back wins over Softlogic Life and Asia Capital.
Week-end’s top performers were: B. Prabath from Akbar Bros (5-0-14-6 Vs. United Tractors), Rasith Chalanga from Technomedics (75 runs in 55 balls with 2 sixes and 6 fours Vs. MAS Kreeda), Nayana Kumara from Avery Dennison (79 not out in 78 balls with two sixes and eight fours Vs.Webquarters) and Harsha de Silva from Palliyaguruge Group (98 runs in 75 balls with three sixes and eight fours Vs. Asia Capital).
