Udayasiri Wickramarathne’s ‘Thunsiya Hataeka 361’ will go on the boards at 3.30 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. on April 1 at the Lionel Wendt Theatre Colombo.

The drama stars Gihan Fernando and Umayangana Wickramasinghe in main roles with Ruwan Malith Peiris, Chamari Nisansala, Mihiri Priyangani, Rohitha Jayakoday , Kusal Maduranga, Ishara Wickremasinghe, and Nayanthara de Silva playing the rest.

The play opens with a discussion on how mass media which is supposedly dedicated to bringing the truth to the people contributes to concealing and distancing the truth from the people in a society which also overestimates the power of the media.

Behind the screen, music is directed by Lalith Wickramaratne, set designing by Luvolin V anderwall and Thilanka Weerawardena, costume designing Nipuni Preksha Mendis and lighting by Mihindu Madhushanka & stage manage by Sumedha Prasanna.

‘361’ follows Udayasiri’s earlier successful plays Suddek Oba Amathai’ (A White Man Addresses You) ‘Rangapem Ivarai’ (Adieu to Acting) and ‘Pem Yuwalak One Kara Thibe’ (Wanted: A Pair of Lovers).

“Thunsiya Hataeks 361” is produced and organised by Jude Srimal.

All seats are box planned and tickets are now available at the theatre gate.
