Kusal, Ishan help Navy SC
Kusal Edussuriya cracked a 104 while Ishan Abeysekera made an unbeaten 62 which helped Navy SC resuming from their overnight score of 6 for 1 to amass a massive score of 402 for 9 declared on day two against Kurunegala YCC who made 253 on day one in their Premier Tier B cricket encounter played at the Navy ground in Welisara.
Negombo CC after making a modest score of 223 succeeded to restrict Lankan CC who resumed from their overnight score of 43 for 3 to a score of 136 to take a comfortable first inning lead in the match played at Kadirana.
In contrast Galle CC took a close first inning lead over Air Force SC in the match played at the Air Force ground in Katunayake. Galle CC made 178 on day one and had the Airmen struggling on 57 for 4 before bowling them out for 163 runs on the second day.
Panadura SC having ended with a score of 236 for 8 on day one went on to make 250 against Police SC who was able to muster a score of only 196 in the match played at the Police Park.
