The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will hold a seminar on December 7 in Colombo at the chamber auditorium to discuss the new Forex Act, which came into effect recently.

Titled ‘The new forex Act and Regulations – What Does It Mean for Business?” the seminar will open with a presentation by Ms. Pavithri Vithanage, Senior Assistant Director, Legal and Compliance, Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CB), followed by a panel discussion.

Panelists for the session are Udeni Alawattage, CB Director, Department of Foreign Exchange; Duminda Hulangamuwa, Partner Ernst & Young; Ms. Ayomi Aluwihare Gunawardene,Precedent Partner, FJ & G De Saram; Suresh Perera, Director, KPMG; Ms. Summaiya Maccan Marker, Head of Compliance, Cargills Bank and Shiran Fernando, Chief Economist of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
