A Thomian victory was aborted by premature bad light at Pallekelle. Having bowled out the home team for 163 in their follow on, the visitors had to get 153 in 16 overs.

Hapuhinna and Wijeratne blazed away and took their team to 47 in 4.4 overs before bad light stopped play.

Left arm quick Kalana Perera repeated his Zahira match heroics, securing 12 wickets for 91 in the match. In fact 2 or 3 of his wickets were taken by bowling spin. Dehon Pieris had 6 wickets in the match.

For the Sylvestrians, opener Kasun Ediritilleke batted solidly in both innings to make 27 and 35. Skipper Avidu Herath returned to form with 37.
