Passikudah is a five hour drive from Colombo and has plenty of things to offer such as soft sandy beaches, white sand and plenty of sun to get that perfect tan. And Amaya Resorts and Spas East Coast haven gives Amaya Beach, the place to unwind, relax under palm trees, dive into clear blue waters and enjoy some of the finest cuisine one can desire.

‘With school holidays in full swing, every weekend is all about family time and making most of the holidays with your children. So before the holidays come to an end, Amaya Beach is giving a special travel package for families and even friends to grab the long weekend falling on September 1st to 3rd to splash about in the waters on a jet ski, laze about in the pool, or enjoy some high tea in the comforts of our luxury rooms’ said Demi Hewamanna, the Assistant Manager Corporate Communications.

The package on offer relieves you from driving all the way up to Passikudah. For 2 nights 3 days on Full Board basis and based on 25-30 pax it will be Rs. 22,500/- per person, for 15-20 pax it will be Rs. 24,700/-, for 6-10 pax it will be Rs. 28,200/- and for 2 people it will be Rs. 32,500/- per person. All of the above includes return transport (Colombo to Passikudah) plus lunch at Amaya Lake on the way up. And for any additional snack it will be Rs. 700/- per person.

As a guest check-in, he might just want to jump straight into the pool or head to the beach and jump into jet skis which is available at recently opened Water Sports Centre. The centre includes Skiin, Mono, Wake Board, Banana boats, Tubes and Donuts very much suitable for the ones with an adrenaline rush in them. Then there is also sailing, snorkelling, kayaks as well as boat excursions. Guests can speak to information desk and book their favourite water sports activity.

‘If you like snorkelling then don’t forget to check out the coral beauties, rock fish, Parrot Fish, Fusilier, Trevally, Sweetlips, Emperor, Bannerfish and more. If you got a camera that is a definite water proof one, snapping those memories would be a memorable one to take home’ she added.

With children busy with that, the adults can take a break to unwind to some soothing sounds and a spa treatment of their choice that will take all that stresses away.

The Reef’s Edge is the resort’s all-day dining restaurant offering an a-la-carte menu that reflects Sri Lankan seasonal products inspired by Thai and Mediterranean flavours. There is also the buffet available the restaurant.
