Goethe – Institute and Inter Act Art theatre join to promote theatre

‘German Children and Youth Theatre 1’, a documentary film screening and the discussion is a part of the Colombo Theatre Forum, a space created for those who were seeking new dimensions in Sri Lankan theatre was held last Tuesday, July 25 at the Goethe Institute Hall, Colombo 7.

The curator of the programme is well-known playwright M. Safeer.

Scholars, directors, script writers, actors and actresses, critics, lighting directors, backstage creators, stage managers, students and spectators joined Colombo Theatre Forum to widen their horizons in the field of theatre.

Colombo Theatre Forum–which was highly successful during last year and has commenced with a new format by Inter Act Art theatre and Goethe – Institute Colombo—is held every fourth Tuesday of the month at the Goethe Institute Hall from 5.00 pm onwards.

In the coming month discussion will be held on ‘Acting and lighting in August, ‘Theatre dramaturgy and criticism’ in September, ‘Stage and Dance’ in October and ‘German children and youth theatre 2’ in November.
