Exhibition to mark Ranil’s 40 years in politics
View(s):The progress made in the field of Education, during UNP Govts in which Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe served for 40 years, will be exhibited next week. The exhibition will be held at the National Youth Service Council (NYSC), Maharagama, from July 28 to 30.
‘Futuristic Education System’ will be the theme of the exhibition held to coincide with Premier Wickremesinghe’s 40th anniversary in politics.
President Maithripala Sirisena and the Premier have been invited for an Education forum on July 28 where they will respond to questions posed.
More than 2,000 persons including Education experts, teachers and students will participate in the event organised by the Ministry of Education.
Discussions will be held on future Educational programmes, changes, current issues and solutions.
Questions could be sent via FaceBook or, through an official website to be launched. The questions will be selected on merit.
Meanwhile, the Exams Dept will have a 1-day service stall at the NYSC, where persons can obtain any services provided by the Dept, including issuance of certificates.
There will be another stall to educate the public on the compulsory education programme where students have to continue their education up to GCE (A/L).
