SLF starts Diploma in filmmaking and television

Digital Film Academy of Sri Lanka Foundation has called for applications from budding filmmakers and television producers for a Higher National Diploma in Film and Television.

The two and a half year long course specialises on film direction, script writing, cinematography, editing and sound designing.

The course which is conducted on a fulltime basis includes advanced techniques and aesthetic skills in filmmaking and television predictions by introducing professional directors, script writers, cinematographers, editors and sound designers to the film and television industry in Sri Lanka.

Those who have passed GCE Advanced Level or have three years of experience in the field of cinema and television industry with GCE ordinary level can apply for the course.

The course study covers documentary, fiction short films, multi-camera production, advertisement and music video making.

Candidates would be selected after a placement test and an interview and application forms can be either downloaded from www.slf.lk or could be collected from Education Services of SLF. The deadline for the applications is August 1.
