Henegama fight back to level series

Right arm pacies – Shehan Dinusha, Janith Madusha and right arm spinner Pramith Dharshana combined to share eight wickets and guide Henegama Central to a seven run win over traditional rivals Bandaranayake MMV Veyangoda in their 2nd Battle of Siyane Blue and Green big match played at R. Premadasa Stadium.

The trio put Henegama Central back in the game when Bandaranayake MMV in pursuit of a target of 94 runs for victory was sitting pretty with the score on 50 for 3 in 12th over to bundle them out for 87 as Bandaranayake MMV lost seven wickets for the addition of only 37 runs.
Earlier in the day Henegama Central taking first lease of the wicket was made to struggle for their runs as they lost wickets at regular intervals and was bowled out for a paltry 93 but succeeded to defend the low score and come out on top to make it one each after Bandaranayake MMV had won the first encounter by nine runs last year.
