All set for Prep Walk and Fun Fair
View(s):The community of St. Thomas Preparatory School, Kollupitiya- students, teachers, parents, old boys and well wishers will come together on January 28 for the Prep Walk and Fun Fair 2017.
The event is being planned to strengthen the bonds of camaraderie and to raise funds to renovate the school’s very first building ‘Fortrose’ which was home to all those who were hostellers at the school.
Prep School as the school is fondly known has maintained its traditions over the years since its founding in 1938, and while catering to all communities, stayed small to ensure quality.
The Walk will begin at Galle Face and continue past the school along Galle Road to Kollupitiya junction and then proceed along Dharmapala Mawatha to Piththala junction, turn left and return via Perahera Mawatha and Rotunda Gardens back to the school. The Funfair at the school which will then continue till midnight will have many exciting stalls, rides, and of course, food and music.
The walk and funfair are organised by the Parent Teacher Association and the Old Boys’ Union and all old boys and wellwishers are invited to join.
