‘Passengers’ Stranded on the spaceship

‘Passengers’ a Hollywood romantic sci-fi directed by Morten Tyldum is now being screened in theatres in Colombo and suburbs.A spacecraft traveling to a distant colony planet and transporting thousands of people has a malfunction in its sleep chambers. As a result, two passengers are awakened 90 years early.
The spaceship, Starship Avalon, in its 120-year voyage to a distant colony planet known as the “Homestead Colony” and transporting 5,259 people has a malfunction in two of its sleep chambers. As a result two hibernation pods open prematurely and the two people that awoke, Jim Preston (Chris Pratt) and Aurora Dunn (Jennifer Lawrence), are stranded on the spaceship, still 90 years from their destination.
Written by Jon Spaiht, the film stars Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt as two people who wake up 90 years too soon from an induced hibernation on board a spaceship bound for a new planet. Columbia Pictures, production the film was imported and distributed by CEL.
