The Sri Lanka Golf Union (SLGU) is hoping to change the image of Golf in Sri Lanka to ‘Efficiently and Effectively’. This would be done at a workshop which will be conducted November 15.

The Sri Lanka Golf Union under the guidance of Priath Fernando President of Sri Lanka Golf will be presenting a Regeneration Program for Sri Lanka Golf, meeting key stake holders in Golf.

On the full day workshop, SLGU will focus Golf, as a game, Industry and Golf Tourism accomplishing the Vision of making Sri Lanka Golf World Class and Sri Lanka as a World Class Golfing Holiday destination.

The theme of the workshop will be ‘Regenerate Sri Lanka Golf through Marketing Innovation.

According to SLGU Manager Golf Promotion and Administration Dian Abeyewardene, Sri Lanka Golf will make history after the workshop as they hope to drive the sport towards producing world class golfers and making Sri Lanka a world class golfing destination, which will help in developing not only the sport, but also the country’s economy.

The workshop will be attended by one of Sri Lanka’s senior marketers Michael Ranasinghe, Director Synergy London and Colombo and Director of SOSTAC Global Certifications UK.
