Trinity College scored their first win of the season in their fourth game by trouncing Dharmaraja College by an innings and 118 runs at Asgiriya yesterday. Sanogeeth Shanmuganathan and Hasitha Boyagoda made hundreds, but the player who made it all possible was left-arm seamer Thisaru Dilshan. He was quite superb in the first innings as his figures (13.5-3-31-8) show. He added two wickets in the second innings for a match bag of 10 for 54. Rajan skipper Deshan Gunasinghe made a fine 70, batting under great pressure, when following on 332 runs in arrears. Udantha Amarakoon (47), Gihan Vitharana (33) and Nivantha Herath (21) helped, but in a small way.

Trinity 422-6 declared (72) (Sanogeeth Shanmuganathan 136, Hasitha Boyagoda 109, Trevor Weerasinghe 51, Hasintha Jayasuriya 25, Poorna Wanasekera 31, Thisaru Dilshan 40, Nivantha Herath 4 for 66) Dharmaraja 90 all out (29.5) (Chathuranga Aludeniya 23, Nivantha Herath 30, Thisaru Dilshan 8 for 31) and 214 all out (65.4) (Deshan Gunasinghe 70, Udantha Amarakoon 47, Kasun Gunawardena 13, Nivantha Herath 21, Gihan Vitharana 33, Mohamed Shoaib 3 for 21, Thisaru Dilshan 2 for 23, Sanogeeth Shanmuganathan 2 for 29, Vimukthi Nethumal 2 for 62)
