Play with popular songs goes on the boards
Punyasena Gunasinghe’s ever popular play “Dhikthala Kaalagola” a drama that contains a number of popular songs, written by Charles Silva Gunasinghe will be staged today, September 4 at 3.30p.m and 6.45p.m at the Punchi Theatre, Borella.
The cast includes Richard Maanamudali, Jayanath Bandara, Thushari Gunarathne, Isuru Weerasinghe, Upali Bandara, Upali Thiwanka Hewage, Saman Nishantha Gunasinghe, Ranjitha Ranaweera and Rohana Wijaya Sri.
Music and lyrics by late arts guru Charles Silva Gunasinghe while music direction and production done by Punyasena Gunasinghe. Mahendra Gunasinghe and Nandana Gunasinghe will contribute towards the play with their drum music while costume design and lighting by S.H. Sarath and Mihindu Madushanka respectively. The play is organied by Jude Srimal.
