‘Gouttes d’eau sur pierres brûlantes’ (Water Drops on Burning), a 2000 film directed by François Ozon will be screened at 3 pm on September 6 and at 6.30 pm on September 8 at Alliance Francaise de Colombo.
The film is based on a German play by Rainer Werner Fassbinder, ‘Tropfen auf heisse Steine’.
The film is about a young boy who is waiting for her girl friend and get seduced by a 50 year old man. Later the boy manages to meet her girl but their relationship specially with the intervention of the elderly man has become more complicated.
A French film that tells the story of a young man who is passionate with lonliness–‘Clara et moi’ will be screened at 3 pm on September 13 and at 6.30 pm on September 14 at Auditorium AF Colombo.
Directed by Arnaud Viard, the film narrates about Antoine whose only happiness to be alone. Everything changes when he meets Clara pretty and intelligent girl. This drives Antoine into a major dilemma.
