‘North to South Food Fiesta’, show casing authentic Sri Lankan cuisine from North to South including the  food from the indigenous people of Sri Lanka, ‘the Veddas’, came alive at the Pegasus Reef Hotel, Wattala on Sunday, 21st August.

This food festival was held at the Beach Garden of the hotel with the stunning ambiance and the sea breeze. This was a rare opportunity to all food lovers to rekindle their love on Sri Lankan North to South cuisines whilst experiencing the Veddas culture and their art of cooking.

‘Our future generation must know the value of our culinary heritage. We, Pegasus Reef Hotel wanted to show them, how our ancestors used various natural flavours, fragrances and specially the fire, to set their cuisines.

The present day children have never tasted those ‘Grandmas Secret Recipes’ and it was a rare experience for young ones whilst elders recalling their sweet memory of past’ said Harsha Jayasinghe, the General Manager of the Hotel.
