Metallica has announced their new album ‘Hardwire…To Self Destruct’ will drop on 18th November. The heavy metal band’s 10th album is coming after eight years and will be a 2CD and 2 vinyl format. The title track ‘Hardwire’ will be a single. The band gave a taste of what is to come on 20th August at the US Bank Stadium in Minnesota. Greg Fidelman who has previously worked with Black Sabbath, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Marilyn Manson, U2, Neil Diamond and the late Johnny Cash is the main producer along with group members James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. Metallica’s last album ‘Death Magnetic’ was released in 2008.

Everybody’s favourite crooner Michael Buble is releasing his new album ‘Nobody But Me’ on October 21. The album title track is already out. Buble has a duet called ‘Someday’ with Meghan Trainor on the album. This is the 40 year old Canadian singer’s ninth studio album. His last ‘To Be Loved’ released in 2013, had very measured success with sales of only 1.9 million together in Canada, the US and the UK.

Calvin Harris is the world’s highest earning DJ according to Forbes magazine. His income in 2015 is reported $63 million. Harris has been the top earning DJ for four consecutive years.

Britney Spears is to perform at the MTV, Video Music Awards tonight (28th August). It will be her first MTV live performance in 10 years. She is expected to sing her new song ‘Make Me’ from album ‘Glory’ which came out on 26th August.

Craig David who cut his teeth as the guest vocalist with the Artful Dodgers back in 1999 is to release his first album in six years ‘My Intuition’ on 30th September. He will be collaborating with Sigala, Blonde, Lauren Faith and Big Naste on the album.

Barry Gibb the only surviving member of the Bee Gees will release his album ‘In The Now’ in October. The 12 track album has Barry singing with his two sons Stephen and Ashley. The trio also wrote the songs to the album which is produced by John Merchant. Barry Gibb played at the Glastonbury festival earlier this year with Coldplay several Bee Gees hit songs and was well received.

For a fourth week Major Lazer’s hit song ‘Cold Water’ is the No: 1 UK song having managed to sell combined nearly 83,000 copies. This is nearly 10,000 less than the previous weeks figure. Breathing down hard on ‘Cold Water’ is DJ Snake’s ‘Let Me Love You’. The French DJ’s song debuted on the chart at No: 2 last week with vocal support from Justin Bieber. The EDM/tropical/pop track is the French DJ, producer and rappers third UK top 10 hit. The song also appears on his album ‘Encore’. ‘Let Me Love You’ remains unmoved at the No: 2 spot for a second week.
