JAT Holdings, one of Sri Lanka’s premier organisations in the furnishing and finishing industry, with an impressive portfolio of products, has stepped in as Title Sponsor of the Sri Lanka-Australia Test series and Co-Sponsors of both the ODI and T20 matches.  Up for grabs during the series will be the coveted JAT Paints Cup. The 10-match tour began on July 26 with the 1st Test at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, 2nd Test at Galle International Stadium, and the 3rd Test at the Sinhalese Sports Club grounds from August 13.

“We’re very honoured to come on board and power the ongoing Sri Lanka-Australia 2016 series. This series was also significant in that, we won a Test match against Australia after 17 years. Kusal Mendis also went on to set a record as the youngest Sri Lankan to score a century against Australia. We are deeply proud to support our Cricket team and wish our boys all the best in the matches to come”, said JAT Holdings Managing Director, Aelian Gunawardene.

“Cricket is the most loved sport in this country, drawing tens of thousands of spectators and watched in parallel by hundreds of thousands of viewers islandwide. As a prestigious local company that has expanded its reach to many countries in the region, we are proud to be involved with Cricket and strengthen our support towards the sport. As pioneers in the industry, we have always looked towards expanding our width and depth in the region, and have identified Cricket as a key medium to help us reach these international markets,” he added.

JAT Holdings is also the Co-Sponsors for 5 ODI matches that will run from August 21 to September 4. There will be two T20 matches, also co-sponsored by JAT Holdings. The first will be at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium and the other at R. Premadasa Stadium on September 9.  JAT Holdings also sponsors other sporting events such as Golf and Hockey, and has, in the past, demonstrated a very keen interest in supporting sporting events at both local and international level.
