Maduranga- 60 and S. Priyadarshana- 64 not out for Courtaulds Clothing vs. GlaxoSmithKline; Chandima Sampath of A Baur & Co.- 76 vs. Laughfs Holdings; a 105-runs stand for the 3rd wicket between Madura Jayasena- 66 and S. Udul- 65 for Asiri Hospital vs. Jetwing Travels.

The match between Mobitel ‘B’ and Avery Dennison went to the wire as Mobitel ‘B’ nudged Avery by 1 run. Avery chasing 169 for victory in 20 overs, needed 13 runs in the last over. Nadeeka Sampath who bowled the last over, held his nerve to give 5 singles in 5 balls, leaving 8 runs in the last ball, which was hit for a six, but was not good enough for Avery Dennison.  With this card of matches, the League stage of the tournament concluded after 105 matches. The tournament will now advance to the elimination stage, with the top 16 teams from the 7 groups, in the pre-quarter-finals to be worked off this weekend.  - LR
