Take for example Park Street Mews which produce such a wide variety that you would struggle with your choice after a meal. Try the cream cheese that is light and fluffy, followed by a combination of chocolate, curd and orange ice cream.

Rare at Uga Escapes are by far the leading experts in the field of experimentation of flavours. The seeni sambol and sprats ice creammay sound off putting but for those who are lovers of seeni sambol pan then this will be up your street.

There is also the black pepper flavour, garnished with coarse kernels on top; it’s really for the more adventurous type. Which can also be said of the chilli and passion fruit, yet the chilli is only a slight punch in the back of your throat towards the end.

For a more classic and refined taste head down to Sugar Bistro, to find rose petal or cinnamon combined with honey. The later has a very earthy flavour.

At Poppy Hanna one can find green tea ice cream served with whipped cream. It has a deep and vibrant colour butlacked a bit of kick.

Last but not least head to Havelock Place Bungalow to savour their signature dessert that they have been preparing for many years – coffee and arrack ice cream.
