With Sri Lanka rapidly having to face the challenges of an ageing population, the online portal ‘Life After Retirement’ (LAR) www.life-after-retirement.com offers older adults lifestyle options, training and workshops on modern and useful topics.

LAR also acts as a recruitment portal connecting senior citizens with local as well as global employers.

LAR’s workshops cover different areas of interest to seniors such as lifestyle tips, health tips, digital knowledge etc. Their next training programme – “Importance of Nutrition for Older Adults and How to Eat and Stay Healthy in Sri Lanka” will be conducted by physician Dinuka Perera.

It will be held on November 14 at the FTMS Academy, No. 61, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo. The programme fee is Rs. 1,500.

Dinuka Perera is a certified nutritionist, weight loss specialist, certified Corporate Wellness consultant and member of the American College of Sports Medicine and American Red Cross CPR/AED.
