Despite inclement weather, the 23rd Singer – MCA Premier League 2016, managed to continue over the weekend and mid week.
Harsha Cooray from John Keells (113), Primosh Perera from Sampath Bank (109) and Mahela Udawatte from MAS Unichela (106 not out) hogged the lime light by becoming the first centurions of the tournament.

Harsha Cooray’s swashbuckling century and Lahiru Milantha’s quick fire 79 runs gave John Keells a formidable 245 for 7 in 38 overs. But their effort went astray, when Jehan Mubarak (72 not out) and T.M. Sampath (43) kept up the tempo for MAS Active to win by nine runs on the D&L Method.
