Gampaha: Posters come up where they should not

View(s):

The Gampaha district with the largest number of voters amounting to 1.6 million is set for the polls with the final rounds of campaigning in progress. Candidates from the main parties and independent groups are set to address a series of meetings while their supporters are involved in house-to house-campaigns.

In addition to the cutouts and posters which have been legally allowed near party offices, many of the walls have been plastered with posters.  All the main parties have fielded a strong set of candidates including sitting and former cabinet ministers, state ministers, deputy ministers and provincial council members.

Eighteen members are to be returned to Parliament from the district. These are some of the scenes captured this week in the Gampaha district.
