The Primary School students of Ladies’ College, Colombo are getting ready for a different sort of concert. Hoping to spread a message with their play, they are set to stage a musical called ‘Bully’. Full of pop, rock and hip-hop inspired tunes, the lively music and meaningful plot is going to make the play an interesting one to watch.

To tell the story of a gang of friends who are not very kind, the girls have been practicing their singing and dancing since April. The Leader of this gang is Kim and she doesn’t let Ellie join them unless she passes a test. Although Ellie passes this test, the gang’s luck soon changes when Kim’s brother suddenly goes missing! Forming a search party, the friends  set-out to look for Kim’s brother.

This is a little trickier than it sounds because everyone else is getting ready for a colourful parade.  You are invited to go along on the gang’s adventure on June 18 and 19. Tickets are available at the School Office.  Pix by Indika Handuwala
