St. Josephs College led by Harin Cooray coasted to an easy eight wicket victory over Sri Jayawardenapura MV in a rain restricted (38 overs) All-Island Division I Under-17 game played at Darley Road.

The visitors who took first lease of the wicket were up against a tidy Josephian bowling attack and were eventually bundled out for just 112 in 37 overs. Buddhika Chaminda top scored with 30 for SJMV.

Josephians lost two early wickets but were boosted by an unbroken 90 run partnership for the third wicket between Nipun Sumanasinghe (51 n o) and Deneth Madurawela (30 n o) to reach the target in the 17th over.
