Young writer, Praneeth Dhanushka has recently presented his latest book on Vyjayanthimala to the veteran Bollywood and Tamil actress at her home in Alwarpet, Chennai, India. Vyjayanthimala was a famous film star in old Bollywood and Tamil cinema during 1950s-1960s. Her films Bahar (1951), Mudumathi (1958), Sangam (1964) and Suraj (1967) are still famous, even today. She is also a Carnatic dancer and singer.

Vyjayanthimala was the first Tamil actress who crossed to Hindi cinema in 1951. She has been nominated as the first bridge between Tamil and Hindi cinema in 1951.

A science graduate, writer and musician, Praneeth completed his Visharadh music degree in Bhathkande Sangeet Vidyapit, Lucknow in 2008. He started his writing career in 2010 and is currently working on more books.

The book has been published by Ocean printers and publishers in Maharagama,Sri Lanka. The book contains 176 pages with coloured photographs.
