Yoga teaches the individual to achieve a calm mind which in turn helps to channel energy throughout the body. The healing powers of yoga are particularly relevant today with the ever-increasing pace of life. Yoga increases the ability to cope with everyday stress and situations and releases the creative potential in life.
Prof. R.S. Jayawardene, a former director and currently a teacher at the Ayurvedic Faculty in Borella, who has undergone five years of training in India for his doctorate will conduct a yoga workshop from the evening of March 25th to 27th at the Hotel Back of Beyond, Kahandamodara, Tangalle.
The course content includes talks and discussions on: Practice of asanas; deep relaxation; meditation and breathing techniques; Ayurveda massage therapy and detoxification
