Textured Jersey adjudged industry leader in Textile and Apparel
View(s):Textured Jersey Lanka PLC (TJL) was selected as the ‘National Winner’ in the Manufacturing Textiles, Apparel and Leather Products category at the recently concluded Business Excellence Awards (NBEA) organised by the National Chamber of Commerce. The company was also selected as the ‘National Runners-up’ for Excellence in Environmental Sustainability.
TJL, in a media statement, says it specialises in supplying knit fabrics to Global Fashion brands. Over the last decade TJL has also emerged as a leader in sustainable initiatives, covering the triple bottom line of economic, social and environmental aspects.
Commenting on the awards, TJL CEO Sriyan de Silva Wijeyeratne said “This (award) will inspire us to raise the bar even higher, as we pursue our aspirations for the next few years.
