R.P.C.A. Mini Cricket Sixes in full swing
View(s):Isuru Gunasekara (U/9), Akeeb Jaleel (U/11), Isuru Chamika (13) and Gimhana Fernando (U/15) were adjudged the best players in their respective age groups at the Janashakthi Insurance sponsored 8th R.P.C.A. Mini Cricket (Sixes) Carnival 2014 concluded at Bernard Aluvihare Stadium in Matale last week.
The three day event conducted by Ravi Punchihewa Cricket Academy Matale exclusively for the players of the Academy saw the participation of 13 teams Under 9, 11, 13 and 15 age categories
The Champions and Runners–up of each group received ‘Janashakthi Trophy’ and R.P.C.A. Trophies respectively.
In addition to the best player award, special batsman, bowler, fielder and emerging player of each age group. The Chief Guest at the presentation of awards ceremony was K.M. Bandara, Manager Janashakthi Insurance (Co) Matale while Ajith Premaratne (RSM) Life, Janashakthi Insurance was the Guest of Honour. – LDC
