Gehan de Silva Wijeyeratne will deliver the monthly lecture of the Wildlife & Nature Protection Society of Sri Lanka on Thursday, December 18 at 6.30 p.m. at the Department of Metereology auditorium. His subject will be ‘Why Sri Lanka is super-rich for wildlife’.

Gehan has published several books on Sri Lanka’s rich bio diversity and wildlife. In this talk he will show how this moderately sized island has a relatively higher number of species per unit area than large tropical islands such as Madagascar, Borneo and New Guinea.
