Lalith Athulathmudali Memorial Oration
View(s):The Lalith Athulathmudali Memorial Oration will be held on November 26 at the BMICH (Committee Room A) at 6 p.m.
The oration will be delivered by Dr. Subramaniam Swamy, Ph.D. (Harvard), Member of BJP National Executive Committeeand former Cabinet Minister, Government of India. The subject of his address is ‘SAARC Reforms and Globalisation’.
Prof. Sampath Amaratunga, Vice-Chancellor of Sri Jayawardenepura University will also speak on his experiences with the Mahapola Scholarship Scheme, initiated by Lalith Athulathmudali.
The memorial oration takes place on the78th birth anniversary of Lalith Athulathmudali, 21 years after his untimely death. The event is jointly presented by the Lalith Athulathmudali Foundation and the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) and sponsored by Sri Lanka Telecom.
