CEL goes digital
View(s):One of Sri Lanka’s leading cinema producers, distributors and exhibiters Cinema Entertainment (Pvt) Limited (CEL) has completed digitalising 12 of its theatres. In order to keep pace with the fast developing technology in cinema, the CEL so far has digitalised seven theatres in Colombo, four cinemas in the North, one cinema each in Kalutara and Kegalle.
The theatres in Colombo that have experienced the upgrade are Majestic Platinum, Majestic Superior, Liberty Lite, Empire and Regal, in Jaffna Cella, Majestic Silver, Majestic Platinum and Majestic Gold and the other two cinemas are Milano Kegalle and Donz Plaza Kalutara. The CEL is planning to digitalise a few of its theatres before the end of this year.
